New Boutique Hotel Set for Castle Gateway
30 March 2007
Andrew Brownsword and Michael Caines acquire fourth hotel property and are set to launch ABode Chester in Autumn 2007
ABode, the growing collection of lifestyle hotels established in 2005 by hotelier Andrew Brownsword (owner of The Bath Priory, Gidleigh Park and Sydney House) and two Michelin-starred chef, Michael Caines (Gidleigh Park & Michael Caines at ABode) has acquired a fourth property in Chester on the site of the former Cheshire Constabulary headquarters, at the gateway to the city.
Following the success of the first two openings: Exeter (launched September 2005) and Glasgow (launched December 2005) and the imminent launch of ABode Canterbury (Summer 2006), it is an exciting prospect for ABode to be chosen to partner Liberty Properties with the HQ Development.
Each ABode combines the best British values of tradition and quality with a contemporary design unique to each hotel. Michael Caines is at the helm of all ABode food and drink and ABode Chester will offer a 60-cover fine dining restaurant serving Michael's award winning cuisine with a Champagne Bar, MC Cafe Bar, Boutique and Vibe Bar. ABode Chester will have 80 bedrooms and will boast views of Chester and the Welsh hills.
Michael Caines says, "ABode Chester is a significant step towards us realising our aspiration of becoming one of the UK's leading boutique hotel operators. Our unique concepts and brand values are certain to excite people in the North West, both from the perspective of future guests and employees"
More details will be announced in due course.
